Declan at 33 Months

Dear Declan: 33 Months

• You weigh 31 pounds and 34 inches tall
• You are still wearing 12-18 month shorts and some 2t shorts (depending on the brand) and 2t shirts
• You sleep from 7:30-8:00pm-6:30am during the week and a  nap from 1:00-3:30 sometimes until 4; on the weekends we keep you up until 8 or 9 and you usually wake up right at 12 hours but will just play in your bed and let us sleep in for a little bit longer. 
• We've moved you up to size 6 diapers! 
• You love saying 'no likey' to everything that you don't want to do. It's so annoying and funny at the same time!

This past month we've been busy! Almost every weekend we've done something fun! We've had swimming lessons, a baseball game, birthday parties, your first dentist appointment, a family reunion, a trip to Silver Dollar City, AND we went to Florida this past week! You absolutely LOVED the ocean and the sand. We left Friday morning, stopped in Little Rock and had lunch with Gigi, we stopped in Jackson and got a picture with you and the capital and then spent the night in McGee.  We got up Saturday and headed to Perdido Key and spent the week in a condo. Your aunt Jennifer and cousins and Uncle Scott and cousin meet us there Saturday night and stayed in the same place just different condo's. Gigi and Papaw met us there a few days later. We went to the beach, went and saw Cars 3 movie, rode a ferris wheel, bowling, shopping, saw the Blue Angels practice and of course went to the beach. We ate out way to much but we had so much fun! 

We left Perdido Key Friday morning and headed to New Orleans! Your uncle Adam and aunt Allison just moved there so we made plans to meet up at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and then we all went to dinner! You saw the cable cars when we were walking to the Aquarium and called them trains and wanted to ride them! After dinner we went back to the hotel and road the cable cars down to Cafe Du Monde, you loved the 'train' but not so much the beignets. Saturday morning we got up and rode the cable cars to Cafe Du Monde and meet Adam and Allison again. We got to hang out with them for about an hour before we got back on the road, this time you actually tired the beignets but still didn't like them. We stopped in Baton Rouge for a picture with the capital and then got home at 11pm!! Whew, what a week/month!! Little boy you only have 3 months left until you're 3 years old!

Declan at 31 & 32 Months

Dear Declan: 31 & 32 Months

• You weigh 30 pounds!! WHAT!!
• You are still wearing 12-18 month shorts and some 2t shorts (depending on the brand) and 2t shirts
• You sleep from 7:30-8:00pm-6:30am during the week and a  nap from 1:00-3:30 sometimes until 4; on the weekends we keep you up until 8 or 9 and you usually wake up right at 12 hours but will just play in your bed and let us sleep in for a little bit longer. 
• You are a little parrot! You point to something you don't know what it is and we tell you and then you say the word. I think you really love learning new words!
• You are always saying 'what's that noise?' and then learning new sounds and words!
• You and daddy love 'hiding' in your tent went I get home later than you both and I pretend to not know where you're at. You laugh and laugh. It's super cute!
• We have gone on a few mini vacations in the past couple of months! We went to Kansas City for a long weekend and then Hot Springs for another long weekend over 4th of July.  You did great and we all had a blast!  
• We visit Nana and Papaw during the July 4th holiday and then you stayed a few days extra while Nanny B was on vacation.
• We started swimming lessons this past weekend and you loved every minute of it. I don't know if I've ever seen you so happy! You kept saying 'My turn, my turn' So cute!
• We got you bigger shoes again! You're now in size 8's in your nike's but some size 7's still fit!
• You are getting so big so fast. I just can't believe that in 4 months an you'll be 3 years old.
