Declan 3.7 - 3.9 Years

Dear Declan: 3 3/4 Years

• You weight 31 pounds and 37 inches
• Since its summer and you don't have to be up early, you get to stay up until 8sih and you sleep until 8-9am!  You are supposed to take a nap for a couple hours but you've only been laying down for an hour and then getting up to play. On the weekends you stay up until 9-10 but then you wake up 9-10 hours later and call out for us so you can go potty (best part is you normally have a dry pullup!)

The month of August....

• You started school and are in the next pre-k class! You are doing great and know how to spell your name and getting better at saying it. 

• We went to Missouri to for our Aunt's 95th birthday! 

• We celebrated Carters Birthday and Spiderman showed up! 

• We moved you from a crib to a big boy bed and changed it to superhero's. You LOVE it!

The month of July....

• You spent the first week with Poppi
• Poppi tried to take you to the movies but you said you didn't want to go to the movies, that you just wanted to go to his house and play with the train table. You went with him to take one of the their dogs to the vet. We went to Naturals baseball game and watched fireworks. You just wanted to stay at the house and play! 

• 2nd week with Nanny B
• You and Taylor to Vacation Bible School every day and the splash pad with Taylor and Carter. You loved it and had so much fun! You did great at the concert the last day and sang your songs!

• 3rd week with Papaw and Nana
• You went swimming, golfing, boating and baked a ton of cookies!

• 4th week with Gigi and Pepaw and Poppi
• You only spent a few days with them but got to do a ton of things! Pepaw had a heart surgery so you came home early and spend the rest of the week with Poppi.

• The last week of July we took off!
• You had swim lessons every day after we went to Amazeum, Gentry Safari, Tulsa to the Aquarium, Branson Silver Dollar City and Splash Pad.

• The month of June....

• You spent the 1st week in with Gigi and Pepaw in Benton
• You relaxed your week with Gigi! You slept in and took good naps! Gigi took to you to the bate shop to see the fish, you helped Pepaw with yard work, Gigi took you to Play Town and you played non stop for 2 hours! You went to the Little Rock Library and made a cute Melted Crayon art work. Gigi brought you up to visit us and Mooh and Pooh and then took you back down to their house for a few more days.

• You spent the 2nd week with Papaw and Nana in Hot Springs
• You had so much fun! Papaw and Nana on the lake! You went for boat rides every day, swimming in the pool, went on the paddle boat rides and played put-put!

• You spent the 3rd week with Poppi. 
• You didn't want to do anything really, you just wanted to stay home with Poppi and play with your toys. You did go to the park and feed the ducks and played on the swing set. 

• You spent the 4th week with us!
• We went to Omaha to watch the Razorbacks play in the World Series (we won!), then we went to St. Louis. We went up into the Arch and watched the Cardinals play (we lost and so did the Razorbacks), and then we went back to Omaha to watch the Razorbacks one more time (we lost; again), we left and drove to Lincoln and Topeka, we stopped at the Capital Buildings and then went to Everton to stay with a cousin. J had a BBQ contest Saturday morning so we hung out and went for a ride around the farm and saw a lot of cows, a horse, a donkey, a momma duck and 4 baby ducks.

It has been a busy three months and the next three months are going to be just as busy if not busier! You've been great being away from us or on the road traveling with us. You are an amazing little boy and becoming so independent. I can't believe we are just three months away from you being 4!

Declan at 20 Months

Dear Declan: 1 year and 8 months

• You weigh 22.8 pounds 
• You are wearing 6-9 and 9-12 month pants, 18 month shirts, you finally are in size 4 diapers and 5 shoes.
• You have 16 teeth!! All of your canines finally popped thru!
• Your favorite foods are: Banana, blue berries, apples, grapes, oranges, string cheese, hamburger, chicken, ketchup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, yo baby yogurt, Veggie straws, Cheerios, french fries, crackers, cookies and anything that's on our plates.
• You sleep from 6:30/7:00pm-6:30am during the week and 1 nap from 12-2 sometimes until 2:30; on the weekends we are usually running errands and eating dinner late and visiting friends and family so you don't get to be until 7 or 8 but you usually sleep 11-15 hours and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap.
• You can say dada, momma, milk, more, nite nite, nana(banana), all done, no no, thank you, bubbles, down, duck, bye bye, ball, my ball, book, turtle, dog, cracker, cookie and Mickey. 
• You still love golf and play with all and any balls you can find.
• We have started to plan your 2nd birthday party! I can't believe its only a 4 short months away!! 

We went to this beach this past week and you had so much fun!! We took 3 days to get there and then 1.5 days to get home. We left late Thursday night after work and drove down to Benton where J's mom and family lives and then on Friday morning we took you to the splash pad to wear off some energy. We left for McGee, MS durning nap time and stayed the night there. Saturday we got up and headed to the beach! We meet up with the rest of the family and this year we had 18 people!! We went to the beach and pool on Sunday. Monday we found a park and splash pad. Tuesday we went to the pool. Wednesday we went back to the beach after nap time we went to the outlet mall and bowling. Thursday we went over to Pensacola and had lunch and then took you to the baby beach, it has really low tides and you were able to play in it more and not get swept away. Friday we went back to the beach for a few hours. We left Friday night about 630pm and drove overnight so you could sleep most of the way, we rolled into Benton at 3am. You did great! We bought an iPad holder that we put some movies on and it kept you entertained until it was time to go to sleep and you were not happy when I turned it off.  You are getting a lot more independent and it amazes me the difference from last year to this year. I can't wait for next year!
