Declan at 3 years

Dear Declan: 3 years

• You weigh 29 pounds
• You are wearing size 8 shoe, 2t shirt & 2t jeans
• You sleep from 7:00/7:30pm - 6:30am during the week and a nap from 12:30-2:30; on the weekends we keep you up until 8 or 9 and you usually wake up right at 12 hours but will just play in your bed and let us sleep in for a little bit longer. (thanks for that!)
• The preschool is working with you to try and get you potty trained. You still don't want anything do to with it.
• We went bowling to make sure you liked it before your birthday party. You kicked everyones butts!
• We started a sticker program so you will eat better. Its working so well! You really want that sticker!
• Your school had a fall carnival with a hay ride, bounce house, games, and a slient auction. You loved the hay ride and bounce house!
• Lisa and I took you and Harper to the Castle of Muskogee for Halloween. You loved it! 
• We celebrated Halloween and you dressed up as Marshall from Paw Patrol. You also painted a pumpkin and carved a pumpkin with daddy!
• We celebrated your 3rd birthday with a Trolls Bowling Party!

Declan,  Where do I start? This has been the hardest post to write so far! I honestly can't believe you are 3. This last year has been the fastest year so far. We've had a lot changes this year, starting with me changing jobs and hours, you changing from going to Nanny B's everyday to starting pre-k 3. You are growing up so fast. I wish I could just hit the slow/rewind button on life and watch you enjoy everything a little bit more. You are so independent and you love doing things yourself with no help. Happiest 3rd birthday to my sweet little boy. Please never stop loving life!

Declan at 2 Years

Dear Declan: 24 months or 2 YEARS

• You weigh 24.9 pounds
• You are wearing 9-12 month pants and some 18 month jeans (only for the length though, they are adjustable waist and are as tight as we can get them) 18 month shirts, size 4 diapers size 5 over night diapers and and size 6 shoes.
• Your favorite foods are: Banana, blue berries, apples, grapes, oranges, Chickfila chicken, ketchup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, yo baby yogurt, Veggie straws, Cheerios, french fries, crackers, cookies, pizza, breakfast bars (you call them cookies) and anything that's on our plates.
• You sleep from 7:00-7:30pm-6:30am during the week and a  nap from 12-2 sometimes until 2:30; on the weekends we are usually running errands and eating dinner late and visiting friends and family so you don't get to be until 8 and later but you usually sleep 11-15 hours and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap.
• More words this month!! You now can say: cool, oh no, coffee, Clifford, George, Arthur! We are working on sorry and love you. You can still say cow, pig, horse, cat, bird, Mimi, Poppi, Papa, Gigi, Nana, please, block, broke, car, baby, up, down, momma, milk, more, nite nite, nana(banana), all done, no no, thank you, bubbles, duck, bye bye, ball, my ball, book, turtle, dog, cracker, cookie and Mickey, Mooh and Pooh, bless you, thank you, amen, chicken, hot dog.
• You've had a virus this month.... Bad runny poop and threw up on the way home one day and on the table of your high chair. I called in for the first time in forever and stayed home with you. You normally run around the house like a crazy man and play with all your toys and eat non stop but that day, you didn't, you laid on the couch and watch nothing but Netflix cartoons and hardly ate or drank anything. I ended up getting the same virus a few days later so you spent the night at your Mimi and Poppi's that night and part of the next day at M & P''s.
• Halloween was this past month, we tried to dress you up as a ninja turtle but you would not have it so we tired Mickey and it went a little bit better. 
• We took to you to First Friday Night - Toyland. You got lots of fun toys and got your picture taken with a Ninja Turtle! You didn't like him. 
• The weekend of your birthday, I took off work and took you to get donuts, visit some friends at my work and then you got to spend sometime with Mooh and Pooh!
• We took you to the Gentry Safari today on your birthday and you LOVED it. You love looking at all the animals and you loved with daddy feed the camels. You loved getting to feed the mini ponies, goats, kangaroos, and pigs. We had lunch at a local restaurant and then you got to hand out with your grandparents and great grandparents. I got ready for your party that we a throwing tomorrow!
