Declan at 10 Months

Declan: Ten Months

  • You weigh 17 pounds!
  • You are wearing 6-9 month shirts/ Finally are in 6 month paints.
  • You've finally moved up to size 3 diapers!
  • You sleep from 6:30/7pm-5:30am/6:30am (11 to 12 hours) and the weekends we try and keep you up a little bit later jus so we can sleep a little bit longer! 
  • You have been taking 1 really long nap 3 hours right in the middle of the day and then a cat nap from 4-5pm.
  • Your favorite toy right now is your new toy your Gigi got you. Go Poppity-Pop Musical Dino. you LOVE it!
  • You still crawl everywhere and will stand as long as you can hang on to something. 
  • You have 2 bottom teeth and your top 2 teeth have finally came in!   
  • You've started eating some big people food. You love chicken, sweet potato fries, shredded cheese and hamburger. You still love your yogurt.
  • You still say, "mama mamma" "lalalalala" and now "Dadadadadda" a few times!
  • You still love the introduction of the TV show Friends. 
  • You had your first real cold/sickness this past month. Running a small fever, sneezing, coughing, hardly ever smiled. About a week later you finally started feeling better. 
  • You went to your 3rd Naturals game this month. You did great even though thats the day when you started feeling bad. We got to ride the train you loved it and looked everywhere! 
  • We took you the your first tailgating event Saturday September 5! You did great even though it was early and hot!
  • You went to your first concert on your 10 month birthday! You got to see LoneStar when we went SDC. You were more interested in watching everyone walking around and seeing wear they were going. 

Declan you are such a great baby! I don't know if we could ever have another baby after you because you are so easy! Even when you were sick for a week you were still a really good baby. You just wanted your momma a little more. You love all your toys and will keep yourself busy playing if we need to do house work. You love food more than anyone I know. We have started to shred up chicken and hamburger so you can pick it up and eat it and you are happy and we can eat our food! Your always smiling and now squealing, all the time. It's so adorable.  I can't say this enough, we love you to the moon and back Declan. I can't wait to see what month 11 holds for you!!

Declan at 9 Months

Declan: Nine Months


  • You weigh 16.6 pounds
  • You are wearing 6-9 month shirts/3-6 month shorts and size 2 diapers
  • You are 5% height, 10% for weight and 30% for head size!
  • You sleep from 6:30/7pm-5:30am/6:30am (11 to 12 hours), and take 2 naps (10ish and 2ish) leaning more towards 1 really long nap.
  • Your favorite toy right now is everything!! Blocks, balls, drums, guitar, my phone!
  • You have 2 bottom teeth and your top 2 teeth are starting to come in. Your gums are super swollen and you have had some small fevers and a ton of poopy diapers.  
  • You bang your paci on your crib and then when it ends up on the floor and you kinda cry/whine until someone gets it for you.
  • When it's time for your nap you will just lay there and rub your eyes. You're always on the move so just laying there is a huge thing.
  • You've started gumming some real food. You love baby puffs and sweet potato cheetos. You have have tried some sweet potato fries and chicken. You love yogurt.
  • You have started saying, "mama mamma" and "lalalalala" but not much else.
  • You click your tongue. All the time.  
  • We've introduced water in a sippy cup. your not a huge fan of your milk in your sippy cup because it doesn't last as long as the bottle.
  • You love the TV show Friends. The introduction actually. I can't get you to lay still to put on your nightly lather of butt paste, diaper, lotion, clothes and sleep sack. So we turn that on and replay it 3-4 times and your little eyes are glued to the TV until we turn it off and you get your night bottle. It's so funny. You can be anywhere in the room doing anything and that theme song comes on and your eyes are on the TV. 



Declan you are such a big boy! You are learning so many things and so fast!  You are crawling faster than ever, standing up when ever you can, and you walked with your toy walker one time at Mooh & Pooh's house on August 3rd!! So many milestones in so little time. Your smile will light up my darkest days. Your daddy and you have so much fun playing with your toys until I get home!! I love getting to come home to you and getting to see your eyes light up and smile so big at me.  I know I say this a lot but I really do love you and I'm so happy you're ours!!!

Declan when you were about 5 months old and we were on our way to Texas we made a bucket list for you. We would love for you do most these if not all of these by the time you graduate high school.  I plan on keeping this list updated as you complete it.
