Declan at 22 Months

Dear Declan: 1 year and 10 months

You weigh 24 pounds
You are wearing 6-9 and 9-12 month pants, 18 month shirts, you finally are in size 4 diapers and 5 shoes.
Your favorite foods are: Banana, blue berries, apples, grapes, oranges, chicken, ketchup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, yo baby yogurt, Veggie straws, Cheerios, french fries, crackers, cookies, pizza, breakfast bars (you call them cookies) and anything that's on our plates.
You sleep from 7:00-7:30pm-6:30am during the week and a nap from 12-2 sometimes until 2:30; on the weekends we are usually running errands and eating dinner late and visiting friends and family so you don't get to be until 8 and later but you usually sleep 11-15 hours and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap.
A few more words this month!! You can now say Mooh and Pooh and know who they are when you say it! You can still say cow, pig, horse, cat, bird, Mimi, Poppi, Papa, Gigi, Nana, please, block, broke, car, baby, up, ada, momma, milk, more, nite nite, nana(banana), all done, no no, thank you, bubbles, down, duck, bye bye, ball, my ball, book, turtle, dog, cracker, cookie and Mickey.
You still love golf and play with all and any balls you can find! You love to swing and slides and love going to the park!
You are 100% off bottles! It only took a few weeks but you only drink out of sippy cups

Declan James, you amaze me every day!! You spent a few days with Mimi and Poppi while daddy and I went on a long weekend vacation to see my cousin get married in Casper, Wy! You did great with them and hardly missed us!! However, we missed you like crazy! You are getting so big and smart and I can't believe you are 22 months old! I love you to the moon and back baby boy!

Declan at 21 Months

Dear Declan: 1 year and 9 months

You weigh 23.8 pounds
You are wearing 6-9 and 9-12 month pants, 18 month shirts, size 4 diapers and 5 shoes.
Your favorite foods are: Banana, blue berries, apples, grapes, oranges, chicken, ketchup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, yo baby yogurt, Veggie straws, Cheerios, french fries, crackers, cookies, pizza and anything that's on our plates.
You sleep from 7:00pm-6:30am during the week and 1 nap from 12-2 sometimes until 2:30; on the weekends we are usually running errands and eating dinner late and visiting friends and family so you don't get to be until 7 or 8 but you usually sleep 11-15 hours and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap.
Oh my, you've started saying sooooo many more words this month!! You can now say cow, pig, horse, cat, bird, mimi, papa, gigi, nana, please, block, broke, car, baby, up, You kinda say Mooh and Pooh and you can still say dada, momma, milk, more, nite nite, nana(banana), all done, no no, thank you, bubbles, down, duck, bye bye, ball, my ball, book, turtle, dog, cracker, cookie and Mickey.
You still love golf and play with all and any balls you can find.
We are starting to switch you from bottle at night to sippy cup.... its been a long process but it's time. You really don't like it, normally we give up after 10 mins and switch it over to a bottle but last night we didn't and it took 25 minutes for you to finally give in and take the cup. Tonight only 5 mins..... Now we just gotta get you to take your sippy cup while you're at Mimi's in the morning.

Declan James, I love you so much. I want to be with you all the time but I know right now I can't. I'm hoping next year things will be different and I can be home with you more. Please know I love you so much and I would do anything for you! This has been a hard month for me as I moved into a new job and I work an extra hour a day so I only see you an hour durning the week. It's killing me inside because all I can think about is how much I miss you and want to be with you. I can't believe how smart you are! You know where your food is and where we keep things at and how to turn the tv on! I really can't wait to see what this month has for us!!

Declan at 20 Months

Dear Declan: 1 year and 8 months

You weigh 22.8 pounds
You are wearing 6-9 and 9-12 month pants, 18 month shirts, you finally are in size 4 diapers and 5 shoes.
You have 16 teeth!! All of your canines finally popped thru!
Your favorite foods are: Banana, blue berries, apples, grapes, oranges, string cheese, hamburger, chicken, ketchup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, yo baby yogurt, Veggie straws, Cheerios, french fries, crackers, cookies and anything that's on our plates.
You sleep from 6:30/7:00pm-6:30am during the week and 1 nap from 12-2 sometimes until 2:30; on the weekends we are usually running errands and eating dinner late and visiting friends and family so you don't get to be until 7 or 8 but you usually sleep 11-15 hours and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap.
You can say dada, momma, milk, more, nite nite, nana(banana), all done, no no, thank you, bubbles, down, duck, bye bye, ball, my ball, book, turtle, dog, cracker, cookie and Mickey.
You still love golf and play with all and any balls you can find.
We have started to plan your 2nd birthday party! I can't believe its only a 4 short months away!!

We went to this beach this past week and you had so much fun!! We took 3 days to get there and then 1.5 days to get home. We left late Thursday night after work and drove down to Benton where J's mom and family lives and then on Friday morning we took you to the splash pad to wear off some energy. We left for McGee, MS durning nap time and stayed the night there. Saturday we got up and headed to the beach! We meet up with the rest of the family and this year we had 18 people!! We went to the beach and pool on Sunday. Monday we found a park and splash pad. Tuesday we went to the pool. Wednesday we went back to the beach after nap time we went to the outlet mall and bowling. Thursday we went over to Pensacola and had lunch and then took you to the baby beach, it has really low tides and you were able to play in it more and not get swept away. Friday we went back to the beach for a few hours. We left Friday night about 630pm and drove overnight so you could sleep most of the way, we rolled into Benton at 3am. You did great! We bought an iPad holder that we put some movies on and it kept you entertained until it was time to go to sleep and you were not happy when I turned it off. You are getting a lot more independent and it amazes me the difference from last year to this year. I can't wait for next year!
